The school aims to provide the best possible opportunities for educational achievement for every child. This agreement identifies ways in which you and your child can work closely, in partnership with the school to achieve a rewarding and fulfilling education.
The Parent/Carer will:
See that my child goes to School regularly and is on time (9.00am), and inform the School of the reasons for any absence on the first day of absence but no later than the third day.Let the School know about any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s work or behaviour.Try to arrange holiday times outside term time especially if these require more than ten days absence except in exceptional circumstances.Support the School’s policies and guidelines for behaviour.Support the School’s anti-racist policy and equal opportunities policies.Attend Open Afternoons/Evenings and discussions about my child’s progress.Take an interest in my child’s life at the School, help and support the School whenever possible, and acknowledge receipt of communications when requested.Provide a safe, caring and supportive environment in which your child may develop social and emotional skills to equip him/her for the future.The school will:
Ensure that every child is valued, respected and celebrated as an equal member of the school community and has equal access and entitlement to the curriculum.Achieve high standards of work and behaviour through building good relationships and developing a sense of community and individual responsibility.Contact you if there is a problem with attendance or lateness.Let you know about any concerns or problems that affect your child’s work or behaviour.Provide interim assessment and an annual report.Set, mark and/or monitor homework.Be open and welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the daily life of the school.The pupil will try to:
Respect everyone and be polite and helpful at all times.Take a pride in my school and in my work and do my best at all times.Behave responsibly and safely both at school and in the community.Be on time for school every day.Complete my homework and give it in on time.
