Our school

Millennium Primary School opened in January 2001 when the staff and pupils from nearby Annandale Primary School moved from the old site into this purpose built building.

The school is designed for full inclusion and is equipped with the latest information and communication technology. This has enaled the new school to start from a strong position as an established school within the community from its beginning.

The school is designed to serve as school and community centre for Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV) on the north Greenwich peninsula as well as the established east Greenwich community.

Next to the school is the Health Centre where many of the pupils have their family doctors. The school and Health Centre are very enthusiastic about working together to encourage a healthy living community.

This is a community school which presently is two form entry for Reception Year to Year 4, but which increases by one class size per year until the academic year 2009-2010 when the school will be a full two-form-entry school from Reception Year through to Year 6. When the school is full size it will offer 420 places. We presently offer 12 full-time and 38 part-time Nursery places for 3-4 year old children.

There is full access to all parts of our two-story school for children with a disability.

The school also has "Designated Special Provision" for children with special needs on the autistic spectrum.
