STARTING SCHOOL PROJECT

In the Spring term 2007 we invited Foundation Stage parents to take part in a project about starting school.. We shared our hopes about what the Millennium school can offer to children, and heard about parent’s memories and wishes for the future. 14 parents with different backgrounds and experiences met over 4 sessions, each with a different focus. Some beautiful artwork was produced. Children in the Foundation Stage made screen prints and a musical show about Starting School which was attended by parents and people involved in the project. Cushions and fabric hangings are on display in the Foundation Stage corridor.

THE ART OF HEALTHY EATING

In the Summer term 2007 a group of talented artists from Year 1- Year 5 worked for two days with a painter called Sarah Gillard. They produced some vibrant collages on the theme of healthy foods and these are currently being enlarged and printed for display in the school hall.
