Supporting your child
There are a number of ways in which you can support the learning that your child does at Millennium. If you have internet access at home, the links page contains a number of resources that may support this.
Talk and listen to your children and show an interest in what is going on at school. Read to your children and hear them read regularly and ensure homework is done. If you have any spare time, offer to help in the classroom, library etc. Work alongside your children. Offer to help on school visits. Offer to share your special skills and experiences with other children. Support the school rules and the high standards of behaviour we achieve and maintain. Support school meetings and events eg. open evenings, concerts, educational meetings. Share anxieties or concerns, as soon as they arise, with your children's class teacher or the Headteacher. Support FOMPS (Friends of Millennium Primary School).
The children are also supported during playtimes by other children called "Peer Supporters". These children receive special training to help them support other children to ensure all of our children enjoy a happy and safe time at school Details of this year's peer supporters can be found by following the link on the right of this page.
